How
do we make a reservation for a beach house rental?__

They will have up-to-the-minute information about available dates
for each of our beach house rentals. Make sure you are specific
in telling them the "Name" of the beach house rental you are inquiring
about.
Can
we reserve a beach house rental with a credit card deposit?__
Yes. Swede's Real Estate
will be happy to make your confirmed reservation for your
beach house rental with either VISA or MasterCard. The amount
of the required deposit for your beach house rental varies by
beach house and time of the year. A Swede's
Real Estate representative will explain in detail
the amount and terms of the reservation for your beach house rental.

Are their restrictions on who can rent
a beach house?__
In general, our beach house rentals may only be rented
to family groups and adults over 25. Occupancy is limited to no
more than the number of sleeping accommodations provided by each
beach house. Our beach house rentals are not rented
for spring break parties, prom groups, graduation parties, etc.

Can
we bring out pet to our beach house rental?__
We recognize that pets are an important part of families.
We do ask, however, that you remember that we take great pride
in providing good furniture, clean carpeting, etc., in our beach
house rentals. Feel free to bring your pet, but please keep them
outside or in downstairs rooms as much as possible so that they,
too, may enjoy their Crystal Beach Vacation. Excessive
noise, pet hair on furniture, and stinky reminders of their presence
on our lawn will annoy our clean-up staff and neighbors, so please
clean up after them before you leave; also, remember that there
is a leash law in Galveston County.
What
does it mean when you say "Our beach house rentals are fully
equipped?"__
Our beach house rentals are equipped to accommodate
the same number of guests as they sleep. This includes pillows,
blankets, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, cookware, BBQ
grills, coffee makers, microwaves, toasters, all major appliances,
multiple TV's (either DIRECTV or CABLE), local phone service,
deck furniture, and basic cleaning supplies.
What
should we bring with us to our beach house rental?__
You should bring your own bed linens, hand, bath and
dish towels, bath soap, paper products, trash bags, foodstuffs,
and of course, your children. Crystal Beach does have a good supermarket
and hardware store, if you want to wait to shop until you get
here. Also, linen service is available through Swede's
Real Estate; just let them know you want to have
linens provided, and they will be waiting for you at your beach
house rental when you arrive.
Can
we rent a beach house for less than a full week in the summer?__
Call Swede's Real Estate to check about the availability
of our beach house rentals. Because our weekly rentals can be
from Friday to Thursday, or Monday to Sunday, we often can accommodate
3 or 4 day requests. Weekends, during the summer, our beach houses
are rented only when they do not interfere with weekly beach house
rentals.
Can
we rent a beach house for less than a full week in the off-season?__
Yes. During the off-season, we will book beach house
rentals for anytime, subject to a two-night minimum.
What are the "check-in" and "check-out"
times of our beach house rental?__
You may check into your beach house after 12:00 Noon
on the day of your arrival, and check out time is
4:00 P.M. of the day of your departure. Keys are available through
Swede's Real Estate
from 9am - 5pm.

Directions
to Crystal Beach from Houston:
TAKE HIGHWAY
45 SOUTH FROM HOUSTON TO GALVESTON.
TAKE THE FIRST EXIT JUST AFTER YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE TO GALVESTON
ISLAND
EXIT THE HIGHWAY AND STAY ON THE FEEDER ROAD
GO TO THE STOP SIGN AND TURN LEFT ON HARBORSIDE DRIVE
(UNDER THE HIGHWAY)
FOLLOW HARBORSIDE DRIVE APPROX 5 MILES THROUGH THE STRAND
DISTRICT UNTIL IT ENDS AT FERRY ROAD
TAKE A LEFT ON FERRY ROAD AND GET ON THE PORT BOLIVAR
FERRY (a free shuttle to Bolivar Peninsula)
ONCE YOU GET OFF OF THE FERRY, YOU WILL BE ON HIGHWA 87.
STAY ON HIGHWAY 87 AND PASS DOWNTOWN CRYSTAL BEACH (Approx.
12 miles).
